Bianchi is the world's oldest bicycle-making company still in existence and was founded in Italy in 1885. Bianchi bicycles are traditionally painted celeste (pronounced Se-lest in English), a turquoise also known as Bianchi green, although there are other colors available today. Giant road bikes are made by Giant Manufacturing, established in Taiwan in 1972 and by 1980 became Taiwan's largest bicycle manufacturer.
